Liangjiang New Area in Chongqing is going to build a Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) information platform with Chongqing's port and logistics office, Nuctech Co, Tsinghua University's institute on BRI strategy, and Yuxinou (Chongqing) Logistic Co, according to an agreement signed on March 25.

Nuctech is a high technology company that originated from Tsinghua University and provides security inspection techniques, products, and services for clients from 150 countries and regions.

Nuctech and Yuxinou plan to co-establish a company in Liangjiang that focuses on the production and development of smart locks and containers that can be applied in logistics channels, smart logistics, smart ports, and city security.

Nuctech and Yuxinou will also build online platforms of smart logistics information and big data of BRI regions based on the information collected by smart logistics equipment.

Together with the BRI strategy institution of Tsinghua University, Chongqing will conduct research on the integrated customs clearance in countries along the Belt and Road, and also set a foundation for the establishment of local BRI research institutions.

As a logistics hub with China Railway Express, New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, and Yangtze River Waterway, Liangjiang New Area is an ideal place for Nuctech to invest in large-scale security inspection equipment projects and seek international cooperation.
