A promotion and exchange conference for industrial cooperation between Chongqing and Beijing was held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing on Jan 20. Twelve projects with a total of over 5 billion yuan ($736 million) in investment were signed at the conference.

The projects involve eight industries, including artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing, urban construction, and new materials.

Over the next three years, Chongqing plans to invest over 5 trillion yuan into the development of its emerging industries. This will involve more than 2,000 projects.

China Potevio Co plans to establish its research institute in Chongqing's Xiyong Micro-Electronics Industrial Park. Taking advantage of the park's industry clusters, Potevio plans to form a high-end R&D team of more than 200 people over the next three years, and is hoping to achieve a revenue of 500 million yuan within five years.

Leading enterprises in Zhongguancun Science Park will attend the second Smart China Expo, which will be held in Chongqing this year, in search of investment and development opportunities.

Chongqing is currently making every effort to build an international, lawful and expedient business environment. As of the end of 2018, 287 of the world's top 500 enterprises had invested in Chongqing.
