The 17th Western China International Fair (WCIF), with the pithy slogan "New Era in China, New Advances in Western China", yielded strong results in Chengdu, Sichuan province from Sept 20 to 24.
As a member unit of the organizing committee, Chongqing showcased its latest achievements in rising sectors such as big data, robotics technology and smart healthcare, attracting a continuous flow of visitors and buyers.

"Our robots have been used in a wide range of manufacturing scenarios, including painting, packing, sorting and assembling," said a product manager for Huashu Robot," Small in size and easy to install, our products can adapt to any kind of factory or workshop". In 2017, the company made a milestone breakthrough in the 3C (computer, communication and consumer products) market. At the 2018 WCIF, Huashu Robots sought to publicize its robotics solutions to foreign enterprises and gradually expand its presence in the international market.

The light and compact capsule has an advanced image sensor with an increased viewing angle, enhanced natural toning and more detailed imaging. It has a battery life of more than 10 hours, ensuring an even light distribution and optimal illumination.
The product delivers a combination of ergonomic design and excellent quality. Collaborations between physicians and engineers of Jinshan gave birth to an unmatched patient experience.
"Our new generation of capsule endoscopy empowered with AI chips was really a hit at the fair," said a manger of Jinshan Co, "I hope Chongqing's smart medical technologies can help people from more countries, especially those along the Belt and Road."
The fair has attracted more than 60,000 businessmen from 90 countries and regions. A total of 788.3 billion yuan ($114.9 billion) worth of investment deals were made during the five-day event.
First launched in 2000, the WCIF is part of the central government's "Go West" strategy. Chengdu was chosen as the permanent site, with its neighbor Chongqing serving as an important partner and major exhibitor as well.
UK trade commissioner for China praised Chongqing as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
