BAIC DYMOS Automotive Systems (Chongqing) Co Ltd was officially put into operation in the Liangjiang New Area's Yufu Industrial Development Zone on Aug 8.

BAIC DYMOS is a joint venture between BAIC Group and Hyundai Dymos, an affiliate company of Hyundai Motors Group, to meet the increasing demands for automobiles and accelerate the development of Chongqing's automobile components industry.

The company will primarily produce automotive seats for Beijing Hyundai Auto's Chongqing branch. Covering a construction area of 33,075 square meters, the new factory is expected to achieve an annual production capacity of 300,000 sets of automotive seats.

The factory has introduced advanced technologies to save time and improve production capacity by 10 percent. Products can be tested automatically through scanning systems and foolproof systems to ensure zero defects.

After Beijing Hyundai Motor Co officially opened its new factory in the Liangjiang New Area on July 19, the new company is a new effort to promote the local manufacturing industry and boost upgrades within the local automobile industry, building Liangjiang into a key national automobile production base.
