Highways:

The total mileage of highways in Chongqing amounted to 2,818 kilometers with 16 provincial exit passageways in 2016. Nine hundred and nine kilometers were built in the past five years.

The total mileage of national and provincial roads in Chongqing reached 15,000 kilometers, covering 90 percent of counties and towns during the five-year period.

 

Light metro:

The total operational mileage of Chongqing's urban rail transit reached 213 kilometers in 2016, ranking first place in central and western China and sixth place in China overall. The light metro can carry 2 million passengers per day, easing the city's burden of urban traffic pressures.
