The Shuitu Intelligent Park began its construction in Chongqing's Sino-German Industrial Park on June 19, marking a joint industrial upgrade effort between China and Germany.
The Shuitu Intelligent Park covers an area of 209 mu in Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area. The park will focus on the intelligent manufacturing industry, featuring robotics, intelligent sensors and intelligent terminal devices.
The Liangjiang Industrial Group plans to invest 10 billion yuan ($1.47 billion) in the Sino-German Industrial Park, and make it a modern industrial cluster integrating advanced manufacturing, digital information, robotics and the automobile trade and service industries.
"The project will be a vital part of the efforts to upgrade the industrial structure in the Shuitu Industrial Zone and enliven the region's development," said Li Yi, president of the Liangjiang Industrial Group.
Li also introduced that the company has signed cooperation contracts with 16 companies to settle down in the new intelligent park, bringing in a total investment of over 3.4 billion yuan.
The companies cover a wide range of businesses, including 3D printing, financial services, internet technology, virtual reality, intelligent manufacturing and cross-border trade.
