COSCO SHIPPING Logistics Co Ltd, an international third-party logistics company, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Chongqing Municipality's Liangjiang New Area on May 26.

According to the agreement, the two parties will collaborate in three areas: a logistics public service platform for supply chain management, a commodity transaction warehouse and a commodity trade center.

COSCO SHIPPING Logistics Co Ltd has a leading position in China, offering Chinese and foreign customer services, including the logistics of contract projects, freight, warehousing and supply chain management.

The company has opened over 500 domestic and foreign service points throughout the world to provide customers with a full range of logistics solution, according to Han Jun, general manager of COSCO SHIPPING Logistics Co.

He Yousheng, deputy director of Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee, gave a general introduction of Liangjiang New Area's development of the local logistics industry at the signing ceremony.

He also said that the Liangjiang New Area, at the junction of the Belt and Road and the Yangtze River Economic Belt, is a good location and environment for developing the logistics industry.
