Unless your grandmother is one cool cat, it’s unlikely you associate a flower-print skirt, high-heeled shoes, and big aviator sunglasses with an 82-year-old woman.

Yet Tan Xianyu is one woman actively breaking down the clichés of age vs. style with a constant eye for keeping her wardrobe fresh.

In a recent set of photographs that became popular on WeChat, the Liangjiang New Area lady released a series of fashionable shots that got netizens excited.

“It’s the first time I’ve taken photos in my whole life,” said an enthusiastic Tan, which is certainly hard to believe given the natural poise and style she demonstrates throughout the shoot.
