An auto ornament factory funded by Chongqing Yanfeng Johnson Controls Seating Co Ltd, a top international manufacturing company, is scheduled to be put into operation in 2017, as reported by liangjiang.gov.cn on Nov 24.

With a total investment of 550 million yuan ($80 million), the factory started construction last December. The factory is settled in the Yufu Industrial Development Zone of Liangjiang New Area, covering an area of 175 mu (12 hectares).

The new factory will serve local major automobile manufacturers, including Chang’an Ford, Volvo, Peugeot, and Baic Yinxiang Automobile. Its products include innovative car seats, metal frames, mechanical devices, foam, and seat headrests.

The project is expected to have an annual output value of about 1.5 billion yuan ($217 million) and provide 800 jobs for local employees.

Yufu Industrial Development Zone, a demonstration zone and pioneer zone for industrial development in Liangjiang New Area, is one of the most important port distribution centers and a multimodal transport base in western China. It has four main industries: automobile engines and parts, rail transport vehicles, large equipment manufacturing, and modern logistics.
