A group of housekeeping service trainees demonstrated their skills in Liangjiang New Area's Cuiyun Street on July 13.
They were divided into three groups of infant care, elderly care and household management with the infant care group showing baby gymnastics, the second group demonstrating how to measure blood pressure and carry out other care procedures for bedridden people such as turning them over and helping them bathe, and the third group offering window cleaning tips and sushi making methods.
The leaders on site presented prizes to eight outstanding students.
Tan Hanming, training section chief of the Chongqing Employment Service Administration, praised the training outcomes. He said that more efforts should be made to enlarge the scale of skill training geared towards the local labor market.
Liu Ping, deputy director of Liangjiang New Area's employment and talent service bureau, said local career training work has always been in accordance with market demands and industrial development requirements.
Liu added that the area has trained over 23,000 people since 2008. The training's content and procedures should be adjusted to meet accelerated industrial development, and its focus should be shifted to include laid-off workers and unemployed graduates.
