Construction of the China Telecom Cloud Computing Chongqing Center’s main building was recently finished, liangjiang.gov.cn reported.

The project had a total investment of 7.39 billion yuan, mainly for the construction of an offshore data center, with 100,000 servers. The construction area of the Cloud Computing Chongqing Center (Phase One) is approximately 32,489 square meters.

The project includes a cloud computing building, a production scheduling building, and a data analysis building.

The three major telecom operators have made huge progress in their Liangjiang facilities. The China Unicom area has been put into operation. The China Telecom Cloud Computing center is expected to be put into operation by July 2016, and construction of the China Mobile building will be completed soon.
