Jianjie Science Company of Liangjiang recently developed a new water reducing agent manufacturing method, the liangjiang.gov.cn reported.

The company provides integrated solutions from physical apparatus to technologies. The method in question has won a top ten prize in a national innovation competition.

Wei Jianhua, head of the team that developed the water reducing agent, is very optimistic about their innovation.

"The revenue last year was 8.2 million yuan ($1.3million) and the revenue this year is expected to reach 20 million yuan," said Wei.

So far, the product has found a stable market in Southwest China, north China and the Middle East. It is widely applied in some infrastructure projects. "Xi’an-Chengdu High-speed Rail and Chengdu-Guizhou High-speed Rail have both adopted our products," said Wei.

According to Wei, in the traditional method, the water reducing agent needs to be heated for seven to nine hours. A fundamental investment of 300,000 yuan is required. However, with their new technology, the process can be finished within three hours at room temperature, and the fundamental investment can be reduced to 100,000 yuan. Thus, energy conservation and cost reduction are achieved.

He hopes to get funding to promote their techniques and equipment. By reducing costs related to workers, storage and transport, he intends to realize sustainable R&D and further innovations of the new technique.
