Liangjiang New Area held a ceremony on Oct 10 to honor companies and individuals awarded the National May 1 Labor Certificate or medals in 2015, liangjiang.gov.cn reported.

Ling Yueming, Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee director, presented awards to the winners and congratulated them on their achievements.

Changan Ford Automobile and Chongqing International Containers and Wharf Company were awarded the National May 1 Labor Certificate. Four individuals were awarded National May 1 Labor Medals and a total of eight companies or organizations were given the title of "Pioneer Worker" by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions.

At the ceremony, the new area also launched a working skill competition to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. The competition was initiated to develop the automobile, electronic information, and high-end equipment industries through attention to the skills of the workers to ultimately facilitate advancement and opening up of the region.
