A new policy introduced by the Administration of Taxation Liangjiang branch has reduced the number of tax processes from from five to two, largely increasing the process efficiency, according to the Liangjiang administrative committee.
Prior to the implementation of the new tax process, tax applications required the approval of an administrative staff member, the director of the taxation office, an operation senior, operation director and director of the taxation bureau. The process took an average of 20 working days. However, the reforms have split the approval process into two, increasing efficiency by 98 percent and reducing processing time, according to a senior staff member from the Administration of Taxation Liangjiang branch.
Statistics show that in the first half of 2015, the branch handled 69.01 million yuan ($11.12 million) worth of import and export tax refunds. Small and micro businesses in Liangjiang have benefited from the preferential tax policies.
