After 17 months of construction work, final preparations of the Shuitu Fire Station and its surroundings were completed in March.

The fire station occupies a total area of 9,157 square meters and has an overall floor space of 3,987 square meters. The station was constructed in accordance with the special mission fire station and equipped with a reading room, training room, basketball court, medical center and runway to meet the training and leisure demands of fire-fighters.

A total of 45 fire-fighters and five firefighting trucks will be based at the station once open. The fire rescue service will cover six villages in the Liangjiang new area including Shuitu village, Fuxing village and Jingguan village.
