Accompanied by Ling Yuming, director of Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee, Hang Qiwan, mayor of Chongqing Municipal Government visited the Republican of China Street in International Studio City, Liangjiang New Area on December 14.

He said that the Republican of China Street has become a scenic spot and to accelerate its development combining with cultural development is needed. Back in February 2011, Huang Qifan hosted a special meeting here to stress this issue. During this visit, he was very concerned about the construction and operation of International Studio City, and was pleased to know that more than 10 TV series and firms were filmed here.

With a total investment of 700 million yuan ($ 112 million), the phrase one of the Republican of China Street has a planning construction area of 87,000 square meters. More than 200 well-known buildings in Chongqing during anti-Japanese war period were rebuilt here. The street is expected to open to public in October 2015.
