On September 29, a micro-documentary and micro-film contest themed "developments and reforms in Liangjiang" kicked off in a bid to record the development and reform process in Liangjiang and present the process of Liangjiang opening up to globalization.
The contest is coorganized by Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee, the International Union of micro films, China Documentaries Association, Chongqing Broadcasting Group and others and is now calling for submissions.
It is reported that the contest has set-up a 500,000 yuan ($81,500) award and hopes to attract about one million yuan in funding through its marketing.
The contest is open to the public. Any interested individuals or groups are welcome to participate. The length of the micro-film or micro-documentary should not exceed 20 minutes. Chinese subtitles are compulsory and bilingual subtitles are welcomed. Contestants should submit a copy in the form of a DVD to "Liangjiang Cup Micro-film Contest Organizing Committee, Chongqing Film Group, No. 159 Zhongshan No.3 Road, Yuzhong District, Chongqing Municipality" and at the same time, send in an online video format to the organizing committee's official website liangjiangxcb@163.com Please enclose a brief introduction of the project and the producer's background with the submission.
