Photographers capture the changes of Chongqing Liangjiang New Area with their cameras.

In a bid to present Chongqing Liangjiang New Area's development, the first "Capturing Liaojiang" photography contest was launched on July 24, attracting 30 photographers from Chongqing.

The contest was divided into two groups – a professional photography group and microblogging group. The event will continue until the end of this year and the winners will be announced early next year. Recently, photographers have visited the Chang'an Automobile production base, Chongqing High-tech Park and other places, capturing the changes of Chongqing Liangjiang New Area in the process of globalization, industrialization and urbanization with their cameras.

Apart from professional photographers, the general public is also welcome to use their own photographic equipment including smart phones to shoot Liangjiang New Area. Professional groups can send their work in an electronic version to the Organizing Committee by email to ljxq2014@sina.com. Microblogging groups can post their work on Sina Weibo, tagged with "Capturing Liaojiang" photography contest and twittering Liangjiang New Area release,and Sina Chongqing.

Attendees of the event will have the opportunity to win prizes.
