A speech contest themed “Boosting the Construction of Five Functional Areas” commemorated the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China on July 16.

The Federation of Trade Unions under the Chongqing Communist Youth League Working Committee and the Chongqing Women’s Working Committee organized the contest to inspire workers to make progress. Liangjiang New Area’s Land and Housing Management Bureau took part on the district’s behalf.

During the contest, contestants Zou Hao and Liu Danli expressed their love for land and housing management with sincere emotion and vivid performances. The two spoke in a simple, touching style about registration and property management, expressed their desire to realize the “Chinese Dream”, and displayed an indifferent attitude toward personal fame and wealth. They won warm applause from both the audience and the judges.

There were 17 contestants from 10 units directly under the authority of Chongqing city. After fierce competition, Zhou and Liu won the first and second prizes respectively.
