The E-town Association for Science and Technology in Beijing has been designated as a pilot area for implementing a citywide innovation campaign, according to local media.

Together with eight other organizations, the association was bestowed with the title of “Enterprise Innovation Service Center” by the Beijing Association for Science and Technology (BAST) at a meeting on March 21.

The E-town science association played a leading role in BAST’s “Innovation-Driven Project” campaign in 2016. It applied for two municipal expert workstations, identified 17 companies’ sci-tech associations and set up four innovation demonstration sites in four companies.

The innovation campaign aims to boost innovation and industrial transformation of companies with the help of science associations, research institutes, universities and public institutions.
