Self-innovated programs help make transportation more convenient
A recent survey on Chinese smart transportation, released by Tencent Financial Technology Think Tank, claims that Xi’an ranks top in terms of the popularity of smart transportation, with Qingdao coming in third.
"Our self-developed transportation application has reached 140,000 users within two months of it being launched and now the number is growing steadily," said Liu Yue, a staff member with the Qingdao Metro.
"The application is able to analyze transportation big data and organize the traffic in a more scientific and efficient way, which will relieve pressure during rush hours and provide a more comfortable experience for travelers."
The application also provides easy payment access for travelers and special response plans for holidays and parades.
During the interview, Liu expressed her hope for more efficient programs capable of streamlining transportation and solving daily problems, thereby improving the city's smart transportation.
