Xi'an ready to boost cooperation along the Silk Road
The Xi'an delegation has devoted efforts to arrange the exhibition for the 3rd Silk Road International Exposition, in order to showcase Xi'an as an international metropolis and the capital of high technology.
With an exhibition area of 2,871 square meters, the Xi'an team will launch their display in the east side of the B1 hall at the Xi'an Qujiang International Conference and Exhibition Center for the introduction of the investment environment in Xi'an.
Differing from previous sessions, this year's event will divide the exhibition booth according to the categories of products and industries, instead of administrative regions.
The booth design and arrangement has been assigned to the development zones to make good use of their respective strength. Xi'an High-tech Industries Development Zone will be responsible for high-tech industries, aviation and aerospace industry and the Xi'an Economic and Technological Development Zone will focus on the high-end equipment manufacturing industry.
Xi'an has sent out over 1,500 invitations by May 2. A total of 904 guest businessmen have confirmed their attendance to the expo. Among which, 128 people come from countries such as France, the United States, Argentina, Iran and Canada, including government officials and representatives from trade associations and enterprises.
The city has collected 361 projects with a total investment of 1.04 trillion yuan ($163.56 billion) to recommend at promotion seminars.
The 3rd Silk Road International Exposition, or the 22nd Investment and Trade Forum for Cooperation between East and West China, will be held from May 11 to 15 in Xi'an, Shaanxi province.
