Thirteenth Session of the Conference of the Parties to the UNCCD website goes online

The official website of the 13th Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), set for Ordos in China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region in September, was launched on Tuesday.

The website, www.unccdordos.org, is in English and Chinese. There are six main dedicated sections - About the Convention, China 2017, Media Center, Achievements, Ordos and Services - that are elaborated on in 38 subsections. The website is designed to provide updates and detailed information on the upcoming international event, to present the achievements China has made in combating desertification in recent years, and to show China’s lasting resolution to fight desertification with other countries in this effort.

From the UN's 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development to the global goal of "zero growth of desertification by 2030", combating desertification always has and will be a challenging task for the world. The upcoming conference is expected to be a fruitful place for China to promote building a community of common destiny of mankind and propel multilateralism.
