In 2015, Tianhe CBD achieved a gross domestic product (GDP) of 242.7billion yuan, accounting for around 12.5 percent of the total GDP of Guangzhou. Its average GDP per square kilometer hit 20.2 billion yuan, 80 times the average level in Guangzhou.
