As trees shed their leaves in the cold autumn winds, brightly colored chrysanthemums come into bloom - autumn’s last gasp before the harsh grip of winter takes hold.
Now, people in Xi’an and Xianyang have the chance to get a close look at the autumnal blossom on Oct 27, as the largest chrysanthemum exhibition in Northwest China opens.

The month-long exhibition, held in Jinghe New Town in the Xixian New Area, will display more than one million flowers and over 100 different species across 30 themed areas that have been delicately landscaped by the town’s expert gardeners.
A special exhibition for rare and precious species will also feature as part of the exhibition, and carefully bred chrysanthemums will treat visitors to a feast of flowers.
