Jia Yong, vice chairman of the China Disabled Persons’ Federation, visited Rio Paralympics cycling team members in Guangzhou on August 9. Jia listened to their reports on daily trainings, logistical support, and anti-doping management work. Jia said that the cycling team is a young team with good traditions, and should do their best in the Para Games.
Jia said that the athletes should take care of their health and avoid illness or getting hurt before the competition. They should be aware of the complicated social environment in Rio and secure their financial as well as physical safety. The athletes should stay clean and never use drugs for any competition. Jia encouraged the athletes to cherish the opportunity and fight for outstanding results for China in their events.
