Aimee Mullins has been a model, actress, and activist. She is active in feminism, sports, and new generations of cosmetic surgery. Aimee Mullins was born without fibula, and had her legs below the knees amputated when she was a child. She learned to walk and run with artificial legs, having twelve sets. She won first place in national and international running competitions, and broke a record at the 1996 Atlanta Paralympics Games. She has two degrees from Georgetown University in history and diplomacy. After graduation, she became a model.

She compares her artificial legs to sunglasses. She says as long as you are determined, you can be fearless.
