Fireflies and music to soar at Western-Henan Music Festival

The first original music festival featuring fireflies will open at the Grand Canyon of Western-Henan in Sanmenxia, Henan province on July 16.

Located at Guandaokou township in Lushi county of Sanmenxia, the grand canyon with its rich natural resources has a unique superiority for such an event.

A series of shows, self-service barbeques and fireworks are scheduled for every Thursday night from July 16 to August 20. Singers will bring jazz, rock, soul and popular songs to a stage adorned with flowers, before audiences surrounded by gorgeous effects of light and sound.

The highlight will be the release of a hundred thousand fireflies on beautiful Liuxiu Lake, which will make the festival even more fantastic.
