If you've ever wondered what happens to your hair after a visit to the salon, you'd be forgiven for thinking it ends up in the bin; it usually does. However, one hairdresser has captured the attention of locals in Sanmenxia, Henan province, by using hair to create stunning artwork.
A popular hairdresser in Lingbao county, Li Hailiang became fond of drawing with pens in his childhood. After being inspired by sand painting, Li decided to attempt the same feat by using clipped hair he collected from his shop.
After numerous attempts, Li devised a suitable way to compose paintings with the black fuzz. Before long, he acquired the skills to create vivid images and rich layers.
The novel art form has attracted many locals to his shop to watch him in action.
