China Hi-Tech Fair begins in Shenzhen

The 17 China Hi-Tech Fair kicked off in Shenzhen Convention Exhibition Center, on Nov 16. The annual event will last for six days until Nov 21.
More than 3,000 exhibitors from 30 countries gathered and brought with them over 10,000 projects to the fair, which is known as the "No 1 Technology Show in China".
This year's fair, themed "Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Cross-Industry Integration", features five sections covering exhibition zones, conferences and forums, special events, hi-tech talents exchange and a trade fair.
Guangdong's Party chief Hu Chunhua, president of Chinese Academy of Engineering Zhou Ji and Guangdong Governor Zhu Xiaodan attended the opening ceremony. Hu said on the occasion that the fair, since its inception 16 years ago has grown into a technology exhibition brand with international influence. According to the top leader of Guangdong, the South China province is vigorously implementing the innovation-driven development strategy to form an economic setup led and supported by innovation.
