Tai chi proves popular among residents in Sanmenxia

Tai chi-training events have been staged for locals in Sanmenxia, Henan province since September. The training sessions were held by the federation of trade union in Lushi county in Sanmenxia to improve sport participation and raise the awareness of healthy living.

During the month-long event, the county's government organized special training courses and invited tai chi professionals to coach enthusiasts for free. The events have aroused interest among locals and have attracted hundreds of participants.

The training has enabled many participants to master the basic skills of tai chi and gain a deeper insight into the traditional Chinese sport.
