The 12th CAEXPO Promotion Conference on ASEAN Industrial Parks, sponsored by the Investment Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Commerce of China, was held in Nanning, China on Sept 18.

The promotion conference featured "promoting international capacity cooperation and cooperation in near-port industries and logistic parks" as the theme and aimed at boosting international capacity cooperation and mobilizing China and ASEAN countries to deepen cooperation in developing near-port industries and building logistic parks, in a bid to accelerate construction of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, achieve win-win outcomes and bring more tangible benefits to people of the countries concerned.

At the promotion conference, Mr. Zhang Yuzhong, deputy director-general of the Investment Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Commerce of China, Mr. Huang Pingxi, vice secretary-general of the CAEXPO Secretariat, Mr. Chu Yang, director of the Administration Committee of Guangxi (Dongxing) Key Pilot Zone for Opening up and Development of China and representatives of major industrial parks in ASEAN countries gave presentations on development progress of the industrial parks, information on projects calling for investment, laws, regulations, incentives and privileges. They also held face-to-face talks with the Chinese companies dealing in international capacity cooperation.

The promotion conference will further strengthen exchanges and cooperation among Chinese companies with advanced industrial capacity and ASEAN investment institutions, industrial parks and project owners, expanding two-way investment, enhancing cooperation and complementarities in advanced capacity, thus to deepen the two-way investment cooperation and make it produce richer practical results.
