The 12th CAEXPO Agricultural Exhibition and also the 5th China-ASEAN Promotion Conference on High Quality Fruits began at Guangxi Exhibition Hall, on Sept 18.

There have been 600 international standard booths set up indoors at the exhibition center which comprises distinctive agro-based products from China and ASEAN countries including fruits, green agricultural products, foodstuffs, tea leaf and ASEAN coffee.

Many renowned and leading companies of both sides have also joined in the exhibition. Exhibiting companies from ASEAN countries and countries outside the China-ASEAN region take up about 100 booths, a significant growth from the previous years. The exhibition space for fruits was twice than the previous session. More than 60 percent of exhibitors have participated in the exhibitions before.

The exhibition will see the 2015 China-ASEAN Agricultural Materials Cooperation Forum, the China-ASEAN Promotion Conference on High Quality Fruits, the 6th ASEAN-China-Japan-Korea Roundtable on Food Security Cooperation Strategy, sourcing program for food processing and packaging machinery and a networking event attended by Chinese and international businesses.

At the CAEXPO, the Ministry of Agriculture of China conducts the promotion conference on Chinese and ASEAN fruits for five years. More and more provinces, cities, enterprises and trade visitors are being attracted to the event. The channel for cooperation is expanded and considerable impetus has been generated for the bilateral trade. And in result of all these efforts, China exported fruits worth more than $2.2 billion to the ASEAN countries in 2014.
