Small trains run on Mingyue Mountain

Reporters at the 7th national network media tour of Jiangxi province surveyed landscapes through a small train on the 1500-meter-high Mingyue Mountain in Yichun, Jiangxi province on April 17, 2015.

There are two trains on the mountain, named Chang'e (after the moon goddess in Chinese mythology) and Bengyue (flying to the moon). With a total length of 3.95 kilometers, the two trains run through Tanxia village in Yuanzhou district, Liufang village and Qidu forestry center of Anfu county. They are the first mountain trains in the Chinese mainland.

Reporters also visited the 1500-meter-high Qingyun Plank Road built along the cliff as well as the Moon River.

Mingyue Mountain, with a total area of 386 square meters, has received many recognitions, including as a national 4A scenic spot, national forestry park, national geography park and national natural heritage.
