Changsha county to be a model of urban-rural integration
The Changsha Party chief called for more efforts to be made in rural areas for residents to receive identical services as in urban areas.
Speaking during the group discussion meetings of the Third Session of the 14th Changsha Municipal People’s Congress held on Jan 22, Yi Lianhong, the Party chief of Changsha, Central China's Hunan province, praised the achievements made by Changsha county in urban-rural integration.
He hoped that it could gradually develop into a model county in urban-rural integration, form its own characteristics, and provide more experiences and guidance for other counties and sub-cities in the Hunan capital city, or even in the whole country.
Targets should be set to make rural residents enjoy the same infrastructure, public service, education, medical and cultural services as in the urban areas, Yi urged.
