The Old Bai Family Paomo, an old restaurant in the Muslim quarter of Xi’an city, Shaanxi province, held a contest on Nov 7, with dozens of participants chopping up steamed buns with their hands in five minutes. The winner won a lifetime of free paomo in the restaurant, Xinhuanet.com reported.
Paomo, a specialty of Shaanxi cuisine, is a hot stew of chopped-up steamed buns cooked in lamb broth and meat, or with lamb substituted with beef.
