The Shanghai Symphony Orchestra celebrated its 135th birthday and lifted the curtains on the opening performance on Sept 6 at the new concert hall, with its music director Yu Long, the Pianist Lang Lang, Russia’s renowned violinist Maxim Vengerov, and the famous Hungarian mezzo-soprano Ildiko Komlosi in attendance.
