Third Cherry Blossom Festival kicked off

The third Cherry Blossom Festival kicked off at Guo State Park in the city of Sanmenxia, Central China’s Henan province on April 4. It will last for 10 days.

This Cherry Blossom Festival was an event incorporating tourism, culture and sports that aims to attract people’s participation. A variety of activities was carried out in Guo State Park on the festival’s opening day, including a party, flower appreciation and performances.

Accompanied by volunteers from charity and local enterprises, more than 20 children from Sanmenxia Welfare House enjoyed themselves at that cheery blossom event. According to the event’s organizing committee, activities that show love to the disadvantaged have been held many times and six companies joined in this time. “We will pass on the kindness and love,” said one of the organizing committee members.

A Cherry Blossom Baby Competition and Cherry Blossom Composition is being held during the festival.
