Performance Information
Junan Wang is the sole discipline of Yin Guifang, the founder of the Yin School of Yue opera. In 1986, 16-year-old Wang catapulted to stardom via the classic Dream of the Red Chamber. In 1990, her performance in Jade Dragonfly won her even more acclaim, including an award from the Ministry of Culture. Wang has also participated in television dramas, her role in The Peony Pavilion Yue opera television drama broke records for audience rating. Wang’s 2010 solo show also sold out while tour in Fuzhou and Shanghai, as her fans traveled from all over the country.
