Warehouse of the Former Continental Bank

A giant warehouse was set up by the Continental Bank in 1920s to further meet its operational requirements for storage and mortgage loan. Seventy percent storage business of the foreign businessmen was obtained by the Bank therefore.

Located at 223 Zhang Zizhong Road, Heping District, the warehouse built in 1925 has been classified as the special protection historic architecture in Tianjin. It covers a floor area of about 7,700 square meters. With dry brick wall,the composite structure is mainly four-storied but partially six-storied. The building looks massive and decent. It was also designed with a well-guarded treasury which is still in use nowadays.
