The 5th Euro-Asia Economic Forum, a platform for Asian and European countries and regions to discuss political, business, and other issues of common concern, will be held from Sept 26 to 28 in Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province in Northwest China.

The forum attracts 1,695 guests from 75 countries and regions. Chinese Vice-Premier Wang Yang will deliver a keynote speech at the opening ceremony.

The biennial event was launched in 2005, with Xi'an being set as the permanent venue for the gathering.
