Lufa Square is located on Longyang Road, next to the Shanghai New International Expo Center and opposite to Meglev station. It covers a total area of 17,300 square meters and has 118,000 square meters of overall construction. It aims to provide systematic services for business, accommodation, cultural activities and recreation.

The project is financed by Shanghai Zhonglu Bowling Entertainment Company with 1.35 billion yuan ($213.93 million). Construction began in December 2011 and will be completed in October 2015.
