The Shanghai Pudong Special Education School was established in 2002, combining nine-year education, vocational education, scientific research and recovery of students with disabilities.

The school covers an area of 14,600 square meters, with a six-floor dormitory, four-floor administrative building and an indoor stadium. The school has 72 faculty members, among whom 49 are full-time teachers.
