SHANGHAI - An international franchise show will open at the Shanghai International Exhibition Center on September 17 to provide franchise projects for investors.
The three-day event, sponsored by the China Chain Store & Franchise Association (CCFA), will be the largest show of the kind held in south China with visitors expected to exceed 100,000, said Wang Hongtao, CCFA Exhibition and Conference Section Chief.
Businesses will display more than 200 franchise brands at the show, including KFC, Super 8 Hotel and Tupperware Brands Corporation, Wang said.
Singapore and Malaysia will send delegations to the show to present dozens of franchise brands for investors to choose, he said.
"It is an opportunity for investors to involve themselves into franchise business," Wang said.
Insiders said the successful investment in franchise brands depends on whether investors choose suitable brands for themselves.
They said chain hotels, for example, will be a focus of investment, because they can bring stable profits.
Other promising projects include kids' education and products for babies, Wang said.
He said brands for household articles from the United States, South Korea, France and Taiwan will be on display at the show to open a new window for investors to expand their business.
"Investment in franchise projects is a new way to wealth, which will not only help investors learn new management style, but reduce investment risks," Wang said.
Sponsors will give lectures to potential investors, letting them know more about franchise projects they may want to invest in.
