The 2011 China Equestrian Festival will be held in Wenjiang district of Chengdu, capital of Southwest China's Sichuan province, from September 16 to 19.

According to the organizing committee, He Naiyu, chairman of Asian Equestrian Federation, will act as the chief judge of the obstacles challenge.

He expressed his pleasure to see the coming 2011 China Equestrian Festival. He thanked the organizing committee for its elaborate preparations and General Administration of Sport of China and Equestrian association at all levels for their contribution to the development of equestrian sports in Asia and the world.

On behalf of Asian Equestrian Federation, He sent a congratulatory message, in which he expressed his delight at seeing a grand event in the history of equestrian sports. The 2011 China Equestrian Festival be held in Wenjiang district of Chengdu. He also wished all the players good luck and called for them to show their excellent performances to audiences worldwide.

It is understood that equestrian sports in Asia started late, but have been developing rapidly. Some of the riders have already been at the highest level in the world.

The Asian-Pacific region will compete in the events of dressage, eventing, and jumping in the London 2012 Olympic Games. This equestrian festival will certainly be a great opportunity for the players to gain confidence and gather strength.

In another development, Beijing, Shanghai, and Inner Mongolia three teams competing in the obstacles challenge have already arrived in Chengdu. As the competitions draw near, more and more teams from all over China are arriving.

It is believed that the biggest challenge for the players in the coming week will be adapting to the training venue.

About 30 horses will join in the jumping competition throughout the duration of the events.
