The ground-breaking ceremony of Diodes Technology (Chengdu) Co., Ltd was held in Chengdu, capital of Southwest China’s Sichuan province, on Tuesday.

Diodes Technology (Chengdu) Co., Ltd has been jointly established by Diodes Incorporated, a publicly traded company in the United States on the Nasdaq stock market, and the Chengdu-based Yaguang Electronics Co., Ltd.

Set up in December 2010, Diodes Technology (Chengdu) Co., Ltd will invest US$200 million within nearly three years to build a production base boasting the world’s most advanced discrete device packaging and testing techniques.

Its products will find their way into the consumer electronics, computing, communications, industrial and automotive manufacturing sectors.
