Official backs China Equestrian Festival in Wenjiang

During her visit to the Wenjiang district of Chengdu, capital of Southwest China's Sichuan province yesterday, Shen Lihong, deputy chief of the Cycling and Fencing Sports Management Center under the State General Administration of Sport, reviewed the district's preparations for the China Equestrian Festival.

After listening to the report of the Chengdu Equestrian Association, Shen said that the State General Administration of Sport would do its utmost to turn a festival a great success.

The festival will include the riding of dwarf horses by children in June, children's equestrian summer camp, equestrian skill and equestrian etiquette training in July, a lantern festival featuring horses in September and October, photo and painting exhibitions pertaining to horses in November, and a cross-country horse race in December.
