Tea expo to kick off in SW China

The 6th Yunnan International Pu'er Tea Expo will run from April 22 to 25 at Kunming International Exhibition Center.

Tea producers and retailers will attend the EXPO. The expo will display tea sets, tea packages and tea brands, as well as tea culture, bringing together tea lovers from near and far.

As the country's second-largest tea production base after Fujian province, Yunnan produces about 180,000 tons of tea a year and spring tea accounts for up to 30 percent of the total.

The Pu’er Tea Expo has been held for 5 years, attracting 100,000 experts, businessmen and consumers. The total volume exceeded 35 million yuan and the contract volume reached 400 million yuan during the Expo in 5 years.
