Culture and tourism festival held in Wenjiang

WENJIANG, Sichuan Province: A nine-day rural coulture and tourism festival is being held in the Wenjiang District of Chengdu, capital of Southwest China's Sichuan Province.

Organized by the provincial department of agriculture and the provincial department of tourism and undertaken by the Wenjiang District Government, the event, which ends on April 17, offers visitors a good opportunity to view potted landscape, appreciate sugar paintings and ride bicycles in idyllic rural areas.

With a long history of flower planting, Wenjiang hosted the Six China Flower Expo in 2005.
