Wonder 1: Baishuiyang Scenic Group
Baishuiyang, also known as Xiapa Creek, is a natural geological wonder created by ancient volcanic sedimentary rocks. A bed of lava has formed an 8km long water street, an 80,000 square meters water square and a 100m long natural surfing slide.
On the water square, the riverbed is as smooth as a whetstone, and is covered by ankle-deep creek water. People can ride bicycles or drive cars on the water street or the square. Between the middle and lower squares, the White Arc Waterfall forms a giant natural 100m long slide.
Underneath the slide lies Yantan Pool, a natural swimming pool. The sandy beach and the pine and bamboo beach by Yantan Pool are the perfect locations for sunbathing. Cliffs and towering rocks of various shapes line the two sides of Baishuiyang. Visitors also have the opportunity to climb the Eight Immortal Rock and watch Buddha’s light.
Wonder 2: Baizhangji Water Curtain Cave
The cave lies in the middle section of Yuanyang Creek behind a waterfall more than 20m wide and a with a drop of more than 150m. This water curtain cave ranks number one among the top five water curtain caves in China. In high-water periods, is the fall spreads out to become more than 60m wide.
Hidden behind a vertical section of the drop nearly 20m long lies the large stone cave, which can accommodate more than 100 people. Visitors can walk around the waterfall and watch its splendid appearance without wetting their clothes. Standing behind the waterfall offers a view of the blurry mountains and swaying trees through the water curtain.
Look up and you will see the shooting waterfall flows and dancing waters, with the sun jumping in and out of the water mist like a bright pearl. Experts consider this to be a natural water curtain cave. Below the cave lies Huaguo Mountain where hundreds of macaques live. The natural scenery is incomparable to any other water curtain cave.
